Wrong image in book after conversion

At last I have managed to get logged onto your forum, thanks for your help.
First let me say I have been using Markable since 2008 and I am very pleased with the program.
But I need to tell you of a problem I have noticed recently I am using the 2.3.1 version which I believe is the latest version.
 The problem I have is I usually use the batch convert option and I always select a book cover to be added to the converted file.
All my books start life as MP3 files with the book cover added to the file.
When I select a book to convert the book cover image is selected by default in Markable then when I add another book to the batch sometimes it selects the image from the previous book and then I select the correct image and run the batch file,
But when the conversion is done all the books have the same image I’m not sure but I think it is always the first image from the first book.
This is a recent problem it used to work without a problem no matter how many books i converted with the batch mode.

let me say there is no problem if i convert one book at a time.

I'd like to second this problem and give some more details.  I've been converting books with both embedded and non embedded images.  Here is what I see happening.  When I create a batch to convert with both types the books that have an images in a file do not seem to have any problems.  However the books in the list using embedded images that are auto extracted by markable will all use the image from the last book containing an embedded image.  Looks like you are using a global variable to store the extracted image.  Please fix this one soon.  Love the program though.  I have never found one better.

I'm using v2.3.1 (Win7 x64) and just loaded a bunch of books on my wife's iPod. Before loading the books I checked ALL of my mp3 files and ensured that the cover image and the tags (Artist & Album) were correct. As I created my batch files or ran the conversion on a book, e.g. not in the batch file I ensured that Markable had the correct Name and Author and image. All looked OK in Markable but when I view the files in iTunes or on my wife's iPod most of the books do NOT have the image. Thus both the batch and singular mode failed me for the images.

I used Mp3tag v2.50 to update the tags (ID3v1, ID3v2.3)
I'm using iTunes 10.6.0.40

Hi i have uninstalled Itunes and reistalled the latest version the 64 bit version.
And i still have the same problem when i use the batch mode with the book image embedded in the file, the conversion goes ok but the image for the forst book is ok but markable uses the first book image on the rest of the batch.

Hi david i still have this problem i have even tried using an old version of markable and a ole version of iTunes on my old laptop and i still get the same result the embedded book images are mixed up after the conversion, it seems to me the first book in the bach get imported into each book in the batch but sometimes the book image if different in the converted books but they are in the wrong book.

Again, my huge apologies for the delay in fixing this.

The good news is that I believe that I have found the problem.  I'll need to do a bit more checking and prepare the program for a new release (a slow exercise), but I'm pretty sure that I've fixed it.  It came down to how the program was saving out the images it found inside MP3 files: I wasn't creating unique names during a batch exercise.

Can I send you a new version for you to beta test? Should be ready some time in the next day or so.

Hi David,
Thanks for the beta version of Markable, I have given it a good try I’ve just done 7 audiobooks in one batch, and it has worked brilliantly, all the converted books have the correct image displayed in iTunes.

Just one point I have to say all my books have the book image embedded into the book ID tag and the first book I did Markable found the tag and the book image was displayed ok, but then when I selected the second book for the batch MarkAble still had the image from the first book as the art work so I just had the select the correct image.

This was the same for all the books in the batch the first book cover is displayed as the art work for the rest of the books in the bath.  It is not a big problem for me as all my book covers are saved in the same folder as the book files, I just have to manually select the correct artwork.

I might be wrong but I think I remember Markable looking for the embedded image in some of the first Markable 2 versions I used.  I might be wrong in this but I thought MarkAble selected the embedded image first.

Anyway great work as usual thank you again for some great software
